What we collect

When you create an account we ask for your name, email address, phone number and the address where the charger will be installed. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name and email address from that provider; we never see your password there. When you use the rebate finder we look up the electric utility serving the address you enter. When you buy, payment is handled by Stripe; we receive the order details and shipping address but never your card number.

Why we collect it

To run your account, identify the utility rebate that applies to your address, process and ship your order, send you the confirmation and rebate instructions you asked for, and answer your support requests. We use your phone number to contact you about an order or a quote, not for marketing calls.

Who we share it with

Only the services that make the store work: Cloudflare (hosting and database), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder and the NLR/NREL utility-rates service (to match an address to a utility), and the carrier that ships your order. We do not sell your information and we do not share it with advertisers.

Security-related emails

Account emails such as the activation link include the browser, approximate location and time of the request so you can recognise activity that was not yours.

Device and location information

Like most online stores we record technical details of each visit: your IP address and the approximate location it maps to (city and region), the type of device, browser and operating system, screen size and language, the page you arrived from and the pages you view, and the contents of your cart. We use this to keep the store secure (for example, to spot sign-ins that are not yours), to fix problems, to understand where our visitors come from, and to follow up if you leave items in your cart. We keep a history of sign-ins to your account with the IP address and device used.

The rebate finder offers a “Use my location” button. If you tap it, your browser asks for your permission first; we use the position once to identify the electric utility serving you and keep it on your account so we can help with your rebate. You can always type an address instead, and you can withdraw location permission at any time in your browser settings. We never track your location in the background.

Cookies and storage

We use a sign-in cookie to keep you logged in, and your browser's local storage to remember your cart, your market (US/EU), and your display preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your choices

You can edit your details on the account page. To delete your account and data, email support@tukoev.com from the address on the account and we will remove it. Residents of the EU, UK and California have additional rights under GDPR, the UK GDPR and the CCPA, including access, correction and deletion; the same email address handles those requests.

Children

The store is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes we update the date above and, for material changes, email account holders.
